Fitness Friday - EA SPORTS Active And ME!

What a big month for me! I've been working hard to get a better body since I fell ill this past summer and had excellent motivation since I was trying to prepare to run a 5K on behalf of EA SPORTS Active here in Charlotte, NC.

I ran the Dowd YMCA 5K Walk/Run & Half Marathon on November 7th, 2009, and it was the perfect day. The sun was shining, the temperature perfect and the crowd was alive and energetic.

At 8:00AM, everyone took off. People were running, jogging and walking. I did a little of both. I signed myself up for the run/walk option, because with all my practicing, I realized just how out of shape I am and how little endurance I had in me!

I completed the 5K in what seemed like no time, considering the build up to it was huge for me and I expected it would be something that took all day.

After the race, I had to go home and pack for California. That's right! I was headed to California to be a part of a commercial shoot for EA SPORTS Active! The segments I filmed may not necessarily end up in the commercial, but it was super exciting to be on the set and to see how commercials are made.
