The Wii Mommies

After two great weeks working out on Wii Active
Sports on the 30 Day Challenge, my ankle is swollen and hard to walk on.
I took a few days off and tried it again, which was a mistake. I'm
really bummed because I was on a roll and very much enjoying the
workout. The scale was started to budge. So now I frustrated that I am
stuck on the sofa for a while. UGH. I so want to be back working out
again. I've taken about 5 days off and the ankle isn't better. Super
frustrated today.

Kelly -- I had the same problem and I had to quit the Wii for awhile and then I went to a drug store and got these athletic supports for ankles -- they are like what you would wear if you had tennis elbow, except they are for your ankles. They REALLY work. I wear them every time I work out on the Wii now and I am back into a routine. Without them, I can't workout on it.

It might be time to go get it looked at, are you giving it heat/cold packs, alternating? Does the Wii Active have yoga on it? (sorry about being clueless!) There are tons of yoga moves that can keep your muscles burning while not putting weight/stress on your ankle :)
