The Wii Mommies

On January 9th I having a Fun, Fit and Guilt-Free House Party with Jenny McCarthy's Wii Your Shape and Jell-O Mousse. I'm super excited about this party, but I'm wondering what I should know ahead of time. Those of you who have had a chance to work out with Your Shape, do you have any tips or pointers for me? Any suggestions for the party?

That's cool that you got chosen! My application is still Active but nothing has changed as of yet. Make sure that you have enough space so people are not in the picture with you when you workout b/c any movement will throw off the camera.

I was wondering about that. I was thinking about setting it up in a completely separate room so people could try it alone.

My wife and I just got ours last night and opened it up and played it. Or should I say it played us LOL. Honestly, it was the best workout I've had since running track in high school and college. In 30 minutes I burned 320 calories. It was an awesome workout. But Laura is right, you will want to set this up with plenty of room. Also, since the camera registers any movement, you ARE going to want this in an alone room. If there is background movement, it will (rightfully so) tell you your movement is wrong. So yes, I am agreeing with Laura again. But it even registered my 5 and 3 year old "being still" on the couch behind me. The customization (entering info, body scanning) will take a few minutes per person, but that is nothing. Plus the suggestions for body parts to work on, or simply picking your own make it so much fun!! The caviat for me is that you don't have to hold the Wiimote. I have weight gloves I use with EA Active and hate how I couldn't really hold the Wiimote. This way you can incorporate whatever gym product you want!!

Enjoy the party!!! Sorry I went on a little long about it :)

I am having this house party too and am debating on moving my TV because of the window behind where I would stand. It plays around with not always recognizing my arm movements which frustrates me a bit. However the workout is great!
